Clubs utilise various forms of signage

depending on the types of member services being offered. External signage is usually best developed with the assistance of your architect/designer to ensure it reflects the external theme of your premises.

There are some regulatory requirements for display of signage for clubs selling liquor and for clubs with gaming, wagering and keno.

Car Park Signage

CCV recommends clubs consider placing signage in their carparks to discourage members and guests leaving children or pets in parked cars, even for very short periods of time.

Signage and stickers should be on display with a message such as

Children Should not be left unattended in a car at any time

It is an offence to leave a child unattended on these premises including in the car park.

The Children’s, Youth and Families Act 2005 – Sect 494 states:

‘A person who has control or charge of a child must not leave the child without making reasonable provision for the child’s supervision and care’.

We are obliged to report all breaches to Victoria Police.
