Churchill-Waverley Golf and Bowls Club (CWGBC) provides 36 holes of golf and two lawn bowls rinks. Currently operating on two sites at Rowville and Endeavour Hills, the club provides 7 day public access in addition to servicing golf, bowls and non-playing members. CWGBC caters to an extensive number of member, corporate and private functions.

We are currently seeking a Head Chef to join our team. The successful applicant will lead and oversee the daily Kitchen operations on the two sites comprising of member short order menu & snacks, A’la Carte and private & corporate functions.

The successful candidate will be posses the following skills and experience:

• Busy kitchen experience working as a Head Chef or a similar role. While not a requirement, an understanding of the club environment would be advantageous.
• Effective and efficient management of the kitchen process from preparation to service and cleaning.
• Strong organisation and planning skills complemented with a level head to effectively problem solve issues that may arise.
• Menu design and planning meeting the needs and wants of target consumers, while adhering to strict margin control.
• Ordering and stock control maintaining positive working relationships with suppliers.
• Responsibility for kitchen staff and effective rostering.
• Adherence and compliance with food safety & hygiene regulations and WHS practices & procedures.
• Ability to work a flexible roster including nights, weekends and public holidays where required.
