AVTES – 50% Wage Subsidy For Apprentices and Trainees

In the recent 2022 Budget, The Australian Government announced the extension of the popular ‘Boosting Apprenticeships Wage Subsidies’ to support businesses in employing and training staff.
For each apprentice and trainee you sign up, you may be eligible for up to:
- 50% of wages for each eligible apprentice or trainee for a 12-month period from the date of commencement, up to $7,000 per quarter or $28,000 in total
- 10% wage subsidy in the second year of an eligible apprenticeship, up to $1,500 per quarter per apprentice
- 5% wage subsidy in the third year of their apprenticeship, up to $750 per quarter per apprentice
- Up to $4,000 in financial incentives per eligible apprentice or trainee
- WorkCover exemption for each apprentice and trainee.
