“Entering and then winning the CCV awards we take very seriously and are so proud, on occasion, when we achieve success. The Awards gives Buckleys a fantastic promotional and marketing uplift and recognises our excellence and just as importantly our competitive edge. The staff morale is boosted with the knowledge that they are working for a progressive and successful hospitality business giving back to the community. We also tag our winning awards to all marketing and advertising such as our major investments with 3AW radio at Xmas every year together with corporate banners on the external wall of our venue. We look forward to entering in the future with the hope of success and company recognition by our peers.”
Rosebud RSL – General Manager, George Csifo – 2023 Winner of Mental & Social Well Being Program, Best Community Club Bistro/Restaurant, and Club Person of the Year (Bruce Turner).
“Winning the 3 awards, Mental & Well Being Program, Best Community Club Bistro/Restaurant, and Club Person of the Year (Bruce Turner) was such an amazing experience. Not only to be a finalist but to win meant a lot to our club and its members. It was such an honour to accept the awards on behalf of the Committee, Management, Staff, and members of Rosebud RSL, who are very proud of our RSL and its achievements in the local and broader community, in front of our peers. Winning these awards has had a positive impact on our overall business and a talking point when our members and guests see the awards proudly displayed in our entrance area. The Awards night itself was a great evening and gave everyone in the club industry the opportunity to catch up in a relaxed and social environment.”
Pakenham Racing Club – General Manager, Hussein Dergham – 2023 Winner of Club Manager of the Year.
“Winning Club Manager of the Year was amazing. You don’t realize how much you want it until you actually get it. It felt like a big pat on the back, and it made me smile a lot. It reminded me that all the hard work and love I put into the industry had paid off. But it’s not just about me. It’s also about the team that supported me to get there. It felt like we achieved something incredible together. This award gives me a boost to keep doing my best in an industry that’s been through a lot of tough times lately and still faces some challenges. It makes me even more determined and happy about what I do. Being recognized by the industry is a really humbling and rewarding.”
Amstel Golf Club – Marketing, Inclusion & Community Manager, Jo Muir – 2023 Winner of Mental and Social Wellbeing Award.
“When we announced this win to our 13 inclusive team members, there was laughter, cheers and the biggest smiles of pride and accomplishment. This award was theirs and we made that known. Each of our team felt proud, accepted and this further confirmed to them, their families and the wider community our goal of being the leading trailblazer in inclusion and diversity. This award has enabled Amstel to strengthen awareness of the value of inclusion programmes and activities happening at the Club. This win generated really strong and positive media awareness, and our members and guests were so excited when we announced our win! Creating yet another reason to talk about offering employment, training and bespoke offers for our inclusion team. The winning plaque proudly hangs in the foyer and is a common talking point amongst our patrons. We had many new patrons visit our club after hearing about our win. Community is key to Amstel and the award has been a welcome acknowledgement to the team who work on making these programmes both enriching and beneficial to each of the participants.”
Altona Sports Club – Functions Manager, John Dawson – 2023 Winner of Sport and Entertainment Award.
“Winning the CCV Award for Best Sports and Entertainment was a thrill for the Club. To be recognised for our efforts in both Sports and Entertainment was exciting for all at Our Club, especially those directly involved in providing and administering these two activities. To quote our GM Gavin Comport “To have CCV not only acknowledge our efforts but also award us for them has both gratifying and inspirational”. As this is our second award for this Section shows that, like the first time, we won’t be resting on our laurels and we thank CCV for their recognition and inspiration.”
